Victor's Bio
Born in Botswana and raised in Bulgaria and then coming to South Africa when it was safe for his father and mother to return from exile in 1987, Victor Vusumuzi Monnapula Zikalala has been all over the Eastern and African World. “When I climbed Kilimanjaro in 2008, I realized that there are plenty of hills and mountains to traverse before reaching uHuru. To overcome this, one has to walk in a zig zag formation to slowly and surely reach 58650metres above sea level. This came with patience, perseverance and a vision. Where there is a vision, there is a path.”
2022 will be the year of collaborations with implementation after years of crafting and developing emerging and existing brands with key communication elements which support their existence, “ We always ensure that we provide a 48 hour turnaround time without getting too excited into any project.” Says Victor as he reflects on the importance of cultural understanding and tolerance to gauge the vibe, “there is always a learning to be had, be, it good or bad. This elevates us to realise and explore the opportunities with possibilities which we create with engagement and constant learning. Communication with feedback is so key.”
“The Advertising bug bit me in 1995 with Matthews and Charter; Ogilvy & Mather. My 2 years experience there taught me the importance of mentorship with John Charter imploring me to always read what I had to file away as admin. This emphasis for reading encouraged me to understand the context of what needed to be done and with that bore the importance of discipline, prioritization with thorough administration.
